Gloria’s Acupuncture and Wellness is committed to your health and well-being.
Currently we are living during an unprecedented time in history and as such wanted to reach out and share information with you. As most of my patients know, I strive to give others as much information as possible to enable them to help themselves. This notice is no different.
Presently, enhancing our immunity and becoming proactive is the best method in ensuring wellness for ourselves, our family and the public in general. Personal responsibility is more important now than ever. Because COVID-19 may be spread by asymptomatic people, we have decided to take drastic measures and close the clinic until further notice out of concern for you, your family, and friends. Additionally, we are hoping that these measures will also help curb the peak of the infection and thereby decrease pressure on an already overwhelmed hospital personnel.
Meanwhile consider the following recommendations:
· If you are experiencing flu like symptoms, cough and fever, please stay calm, stay home, and contact the Pima County Health Department for further direction on how to get tested and receive proper care without exposing others.
· If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek immediate medical advice.
· If you are over 60 years of age, or have underlying conditions of cardiovascular disease, respiratory conditions, diabetes, or are otherwise immunocompromised avoid crowded areas where you might interact with others who may be sick.
· If you wear a mask, cover your nose and mouth making sure there are no gaps between face and mask. Remove the mask from behind, promptly discard single use masks and quickly wash your hands.
· Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. Viruses can be picked up from many surfaces and then can be transferred via these points of entry.

Enjoy your outdoors! If you have a garden, this is the time to enjoy it! Spring is here! Take this time to feed your plants, weed your garden, prune your trees, or simply water your plants. Have a nice cup of ginger or peppermint tea in the morning with your breakfast.
Get plenty of sleep. Sleep is the time your body takes to detoxify, recover, and regenerate. Be horizontal by 11pm for the best quality sleep. Make sure to stop watching tv, playing on your phone or electronics at least half an hour to an hour prior to lying down.
Watch a funny movie! If you have a favorite movie or if there is a movie you’ve been wanting to watch, this is the time. Laughter is known to boost immunity.
